Old Science Fiction Movie Recommendations / apocalyptic films such as The Last Man on Earth and panic in year zero?

Does anyone knows a really good movie like the 50's (more or less a decade, but all suggestions are welcome provided they are pre 1970) have an apocalyptic theme that, so far my favorites are probably the last man on Earth, Panic in Year Zero, and the night of the living dead (my all time favorite). I've been in an old movie kick lately and I can not think of anything more than the top of my head.
