Christmas – Healing the Holiday Blues â € "10 Tips for treading Blues!

There is another side of the holiday much more joy advertised, optimism, hope, generosity, peace on earth and goodwill to all. For some this is a dark side known as the holiday blues. You can filled with self-criticism, loneliness, self doubt, stress, anxiety and pessimism.

The images of happy couples and happy families all with the perfect holiday can be a trigger for a downhill spiral path of self-judgment and emotional pain. These images and the constant reminders of happiness can be disturbing or even painful and intense emotional triggers others. The solution is to recognize the triggers, find ways to respond to these triggers for it can become a positive and have realistic expectations and achievable goals for the holiday season. However, it is best to consult a doctor when the feelings of â € € œbluesâ persist for more than a couple of weeks. In which case it may be depression. If left untreated, depression can become a disorder serious and potentially fatal.

A number of factors may contribute to the holiday blues, "" such as stress, fatigue, problems with relationships family, the loss of a loved one, lack of sunlight, the images in the media, unrealistic expectations and financial constraints. These factors can lead to feelings of sadness, loneliness, stress, anger or tension. There may be changes in sleep patterns, lack of energy, headaches, agitation, anxiety, diminished interest in favorite activities, or excessive drinking, eating and feelings of guilt. While others may feel they have been met as desired, others get stuck in the blame game, comparing with others and enjoy a pity party â € œThey all look so happy and prosperous I canâ € ™ t, Whatâ € ™ s wrong with me? â €

The emotional pain is part of being human and we know and feel our emotions. Learn from them and let them go. Experts tell us that depression is often anger or pain frozen. You may want to be aware of the symptoms of the â € € œdepressionâ and know when it is necessary to get medical help. You can do an online test of self-help to see where you are. Here are some strategies for dealing with the blues. 1. Choose to surround yourself with positive people and support as possible and limit your time with negative family, friends or colleagues. If this is difficult to choose to change the subject to one that is positive. You will receive the message or the reverse. Remember, misery loves misery!

2. Dé. Yes you give your time and help a charity or a nursing home. Itâ € ™ s amazing how good it feels when you give of yourself and help others who are less fortunate than yourself. This is also a wonderful way to rekindle the true spirit of Christmas with the selfless act of giving.

3. If you are lonely, find a way to make new friends â € "join a new club, organization, sports group or self-help group or interest groups, for example. For knitting, reading, biking, hiking. Do something you havenâ € ™ t before. Extend yourself to make new friends. However, finding something that you have an interest in.

4. Establish healthy boundaries when socializing or attending work functions or family. Make an agreement with you, for example, have a small slice of cake and an alcoholic drink and avoid the rounds of appetizers. Give yourself strategies that can put in place when it comes to donâ € ™ t offend his host and donâ € ™ t be fooled by what you feel tired and heavy.

5. Set realistic goals and expectations for the holidays. You donâ € ™ t I have to say yes to every invitation. You donâ € ™ t have to have all your friends for dinners and parties. 7. Learn to meditate can be a good way to get in touch with feelings and a way to release stress in the body and mind. You can start now even closing her eyes and deep breathing for 5 -10 minutes every day and see your thoughts and allowing them to fall asleep.

8. Find joy for uplift. Write a list of things that you remember to be nice. For example, you could simply take a hot chocolate and taking as you take the time out and watch the birds in a tree for 5 minutes. 9. Take some form of exercise. Experts now tell us that some kind of movement of 30 minutes four or five times a week can be an effective antidepressant. Try yoga, an exercise class at a gym, join a walking club or just commit to turn off the TV and go for a vigorous walk every night. Try different types of exercise until you find one you like then undertake each week. Not only will you feel better emotionally, but will be physically healthy, too.

10. Practice gratitude. Value your life, your experiences and people around him. When you walk to remember everything you have to be grateful and remember to be thankful for the time they have had with their loved ones who may have lost this year.

The included valve tool (pictured on this page) is needed to remove the parts from the soldered valve body (directions included with kit). If your gun is very old and has been treated with any petroleum distillates and/or solvents that damage rubber seals, the removal of the old parts can be challenging. If you used petroleum products, it may be irreparably damaged and will need to be replaced by a thin o-ring.
