Is there another way to fly with the suit tanooki super mario brothers 3?

I know that to fly I have to run and jump, but is there another way using full raccoon suit? I keep reading the tips you can use it to fly, but is not the same as using the leaf? What is the difference between the 2?

fly like a tanooki is exactly the same as flying after a sheet. the difference is that when you push down and B will make you a statue that can not be hurt. Also, jumping on the evil and becomes a statue before the hit will kill many things that regular jumps can not (like most of] plants [of the pipes, pointy things, etc.) Also, if you have one wing (wing pegasus p) and you get a suit in tanooki a level, you can still fly as if only the wing-p
