Skeleton Neoprene

Sports History of sudden death resulting near Puerto Vallarta

Synthetic rubber, plastics, rayon, nylon and other synthetic materials were developed from hydrocarbons such as oil, natural gas and coal in the 19th century, but not really commercialized until the 1900th € ~ s. Itâ € ™ s hard to imagine, but most of all todayâ € ™ s â € € œmodernâ materials have only gained popularity during the last 100 years. In fact, most of us retired Geezers clearly remember the day (before computers and televisions!) When very few products were made of plastic, synthetic fibers, or films.

The first synthetic rubber polymer was created in 1910 and it was not until 1931 that developed Dupont first neoprene. In 1944, during World War II, when most of the sources of natural rubber were under the control of the Japanese, United States conducted synthetic rubber Program (1939-1945) and large-scale production of synthetic rubber in the U.S. began. Today, there are over 20 varieties various synthetic rubber comprising about 60% of all rubber produced.

Rubber has unique properties because it has a high degree of elasticity, memory, and hardness makes it ideal for tires, belts, seals, and thousands of other products including balls. Your name Yes, ball sports and itâ € ™ s probably played with any ball, either wholly or partly of rubber and rubber providing the rebound effect. Even the golf balls they may contain a core solid inner rubber balls wrapped with rubber bands while an inner rubber core wrapped with thread. Obviously, before the advent of synthetic rubber, all these balls were made of natural rubber.

When we review the history of sports, we find that todayâ € ™ s most popular sports of baseball, basketball and football are relatively modern sport originating in the 19th century. The history of golf dates back to 15th century while versions of tennis dates back to the 12. Moreover, the predecessor of football or rugby of today goes back many centuries, perhaps even millennia. Old records show that similar to soccer games were played in China, Europe, Middle America and around the world, probably as early as 2000 BC. There have been numerous excavated ruins in Mexico, which clearly reveal the history of a Mesoamerican ball game dating back to 1600 BC, about 3,600 years ago.

Some of the Mesoamerican ruins that have been recently excavated in Mexico approximately 100 miles east of Puerto Vallarta in the state of Jalisco. These ruins are located along a wide arch around in Puerto Vallarta state of Nayarit, through most all of Jalisco, Colima and down to, with the undisputed center in the Valley of Tequila between Vallarta and Guadalajara. Both Teuchitlán main sites and Huitzilapa are in the center of this region and easily visit during one of the tours a day of 10 hours PV.

These archaeological sites have a number of common, namely their pyramids round with shaft tombs often referred to as Guachimontes, ceremonial platforms, ball fields and large. The inhabitants of these sites, known as welfare Teuchitlán tradition or shaft tombs were an unknown civilization that existed from the year 300 BC until the collapse of tradition Teuchitlán sometime between 700AD and 900AD. Except in this vast area of western Mexico, no other graves were found at the heart elsewhere in Mesoamerica. Combined with the fact that the playing fields abound in these areas, many of the artifacts recovered from graves show clearly the presence Pre-Hispanic ball games.

The main ball game is played on a long narrow field or court, sometimes over 110 feet long, with seats both sides. A court of this kind (the more than 6,000 have been discovered in Mexico) in the region of Teuchitlán is so well preserved that is promoted as a tourist destination for the next Pan American Games to be held in Guadalajara in 2011.

It is believed that the original game, known as ulama (from the Nahuatl word " € € œolliâ meaning rubber), was invented by the Olmecs (the word Olmec is also believed to be derived from the Nahuatl word "â € œolliâ €) around 1500BC. The games of ulama are known to the worldâ € ™ s oldest games ever played with rubber balls. Although the main game of ulama Hip or hip ulama was played with a small hard rubber ball that was about 8 inches in diameter and weighs between 5-7 pounds, changes in the game of ulama including forearm or forearm ulama, which incorporated a slightly lighter ball and smaller and ulama ulama of wooden mallet or played with 15 pounds and two pallets delivered a rubber ball 1 pound. These games were played either individually or with small groups of two to five players per team, depending on the game and the field size.

These sets of high speed, dangerous and often violent often playing from sunrise to sunset, providing a sporting event, a study astrology, and a religious / political commitment to all those who attended. The games, especially hip ulama, were so dangerous that in some of the tombs, unearthed all adults male skeletons had broken hips!

Do you think the Super Bowl, World Series, U.S. Open, the Stanley Cup, etc, are serious events, so ulama games give new meaning to the word seriously! They played with huge amounts of wealth, including all her jewelry, clothing, and animals, homes, farms and even kingdoms, for their children and wives to be used as slaves by the winners, and most importantly (for them) for their own lives.

Through artifacts, murals, etc, is often found that the loser was sacrificed by being beheaded with a knife of obsidian blade. Other records show that after the end of the game, Captain or losing coach was sacrificed. Some interpretations suggest that only the winner was worthy of this esteemed death, that was the lucky winner who got an immediate â € œone Single ticket € trip to Heavener. Regardless of the interpretation is correct, human sacrifice (as well as gambling) is a essential element of the game, so it is a sport very seriously, one might even say that perhaps this was the origin of the word â € œwinner take alla € œ! Because death was believed necessary for life to continue, decapitating the loser, who were ensuring the sun rose the next day and the corn they grow very high. This violent game of â € œYou bet your life € probably wouldnâ € ™ t go very well today, but during the Late Formative and Early Classic periods which must have seemed quite logical, if nothing else, must have been very exciting and entertaining!

To this day, the traditional ulama game continues to play in some parts of Mexico. They have tried to play the original ball cheaper, synthetic rubber, but have had little success, players complain that they are too difficult and the lack of adequate rebound. Therefore, the most expensive modern ulama balls are made by latex technique traditional use of rubber from the sap boiled, mixed with other ingredients necessary for vulcanization. Today, the loser buys dinner while in good times wave € ™, the loser was dinner!

In summary, during his next trip to Vallarta, youâ € ™ ll probably see athletes who play football, you might even see them play basketball, baseball or volleyball. However, youâ € ™ re a couple of thousand years late if youâ € ™ d like to take an exciting game of ulama, a game that gave clear and literal meaning to the term â € œplaying the sudden death € œ!
