A normal person would find it difficult to understand, even an accident possible and much less with the presence of mind to press and release the brake pedal in quick succession. However, this idea led to the invention of Anti-lock Brake System.

The ABS uses a computer chip to perform the same function as pressing and releasing the brakes, with a frequency that is unmatched by any human endeavor. In an accident situation, all you need do is step on the brake pedal and let the computer do the rest. The computer press and action release does not lock the wheels for your vehicle effectively loses speed and momentum, while you have complete control to avoid obstacles on the road. ABS get it done with the help of sensors placed on four wheels that constantly send the information through the main computer aboard the vehicle. When you press the brake, the onboard computer balances brake power for the pressure equally on all four wheels. The constant support and release of the brake discs prevent a complete freeze motion while reducing the speed so effective.
