LG's first 3D Blu-ray, the BX580 is a very reasonable list price of $ 399.99. Reasonable considering the BX580 is Blu-ray Full HD 3D capable, comes with NetCast Entertainment Access to content online streaming of high-speed 802.11n Wi-Fi integrated, compatible with the data stream from the computer, BD-Live and of course it can play Regular DVD Blu-ray and DLNA.

Being only 8 inches deep and 1.7 inches tall, the BX580 is a very slim and does not require a lot of space. Going for a minimalist design, the front panel down to reveal controls, LCD display, the disc loading tray and a USB port. Many people believe that the panel Swing a design flaw. The BX580 has no internal memory. Therefore a USB drive is required to download BD-Live content. Once a USB drive is inserted can not rotate the backup panel. Some may find that it is inconvenient and spoil the look of the player free of clutter.

Video Quality: Next 3D Blu-ray, the BX580 can still play Blu-ray and DVD discs. The video connections are on the back. They include an HDMI 1.4 output, consisting outputs and component outputs. Receiver audio / video with an HDMI input is necessary to decode high-resolution surround sound found on Blu-ray movies.

The LG BX580 comes complete package of features. As noted that it is the first player from LG capable Blu-ray Full HD 3D. It also has an Ethernet port and a high-speed 802.11n Wi-Fi capability to connect to the Internet. The BX580 includes LG NetCast Access Entertainment, which has Online Streaming Media Services like Netflix, Vudu HD, YouTube, Picasa, AccuWeather and more.

Another great feature is that the BX580 is compatible with DLNA. You can connect your Blu-ray player to your home network and stream video, music and photos from a connected computer or a USB device and display them on your TV. The following are the file formats and media:

BX580 is included in the Nero MediaHome 4 essential software. This will allow the player to act as a media server. For example, instead of showing normal numbers of CD track, will BX580 able to show album cover art, names of artists and titles of songs downloaded from the Internet automatically. Made by Gracenote Technology The entire process takes less than a few seconds to complete once the CD is inserted. It will also be able to burn CDs directly to a USB external storage device, such as USB stick or MP3 Player. The tracks can be encoded in MP3 format with 128 kbps, 192 kbps, lossless data compression of 320 kps or ID3 metadata.

THE PROS: The BX580 LG Full HD 1080p playback of Blu-ray and Blu-ray 3D. 3D is the first in LG's Blu-ray. Has internal audio decoding of Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio. It supports DLNA and has built Wi-Fi. Have access to the Internet Streaming Media Services.

CONS: It has multiple channels analog audio outputs. Therefore, it would not be the best option for someone with an old, no HDMI receiver audio / video. No internal memory. A storage device USB is needed to access BD-Live content.

THE LAST WORD: The BX580 is the first 3D capable Blu-ray player from LG. Which is full of features including built-in Wi-Fi, transmission line, can rip the CD to an external hard drive and is compatible with DLNA.
