HOLIDAY SAFETY LIST

Ensuring a safe and happy holiday season for your employees and your business, while avoiding undue risk of fire, casualty and services emergency power to this list can help:

– Do not use low-cost cable extension unless you know they are CSA.

– Never place paper decorations near sources of heat.

– Do not allow employees are on the chairs and desks when decorating – to ensure proper ladder is used.

– Always cables with tape or hide the extension to avoid tripping.

– Inspect chains Christmas lights each year before use – Always throw out damaged sets.

– Do not use more than three standard-size sets of lights per single extension cord.

– Fasten outdoor lights to walls and trees with insulated staples – never nails.

– Connect all external lights and decorations in the circuits are properly protected by fault circuit interrupter (GFCI).
