I need advice on Ebay?

My boyfriend wants to sell their paintball equipment on e-bay. He has a lot of things – 2 pistols, some barrels, a vest, painballs many of the boats waiting, uniformly, 2 or 3 CO2 cartridges, etc-Does anyone have any advice for eBay? Positive and / or negative experiences? And do you think would be best to try to sell everything as a whole or break it?
