A wok seasoning easily

Seasoning a wok is the best way to prepare for the comfortable and conventional cooking. It is rather an art and less than an earthly task.

Woks are prone to oxidation and accumulation of sticky foods, especially if not properly seasoned before use. A wok allows the seasoning food to glide smoothly over its surface. Steel and iron woks need to be properly tested before use.

Types of Stainless Steel should be treated because they are less porous than iron. Corn and peanut oil are also ideal cooking oils to season because they have a point of heating. Some even season woks prefer using an oven.

Here are the things needed for a season wok:
• barbecue brush or a heat-resistant cooking brush
• Paper towels
• A bottle of peanut oil or corn.
• stove / gas cooker
• Excellent ventilation

To start the process, two methods are used for seasoning. The first method is a season of a new or returning to a season old and rusty wok. Then are the steps you can take:

1. Scrub thoroughly inside and outside surfaces with soap and a steel wool scouring pad. Manufacturer will be deleted new wok protective coating or rust in an old wok. The initial cover of a wok prevents oxidation during retail display.

2. Rinse with water.

3. For some coatings that are difficult to remove, put the wok on a stove with water. Boil until the protective coating dissolves. Pour water and scrub with soap and steel wool.

4. Then heat the wok over high heat until the edges are nice and warm. Shift from a shiny steel gray to blue, then violet to red. Then it will become black.

5. Smoke appears. Turn on the fan.

6. With a brush or a piece of crumpled-up paper towel, dip corn oil and cover the inner surface with a thin layer of oil. You can tilt the oil in all directions. This can cause the surface brightness in each application.

7. Reduce heat to low volume and let sit for about 15 minutes to absorb the oil. Color changes are maintained over time, especially with frequent use.

8. Turn off heat and allow cooling to room temperature before starting the next round of seasoning. Wipe the excess oil with a paper towel when it cools. Do not use cold water while cooling the wok. It can damage and undo the process. So cool the wok with hot or boiling water. Clean with a sponge.

9. Dry the wok thoroughly and store.

10. Repeat the process by about 3 to 4 times. A beautiful black sheen will happen to the proper use.

Another method is to brush the wok with polyunsaturated cooking oil on the surface and place it in an oven. This will take about four hours at 150 degrees Celsius. Every hour, brush the wok with oil around the sides and continue heating. Woks with plastic and wooden handles are not recommended to put in an oven.

For continuous attention
Do not rub the protective layer of carbon on the surface of the wok. Mops and detergent soaps are the worst enemies of a seasoned wok. It is best to wash with water hot and clean the surface with a bamboo brush. This dry with paper towels and place the thin layer of vegetable oil before storing.

The bottom of the wok can be traced with steel wool in order to bring the material burned or residue. If there is an accidental fire food inside the wok, to go and re-season the wok again.

Woks that are new can cause a slight metallic taste in the first two or three dishes. The metallic taste goes away after several uses. A wok with proper seasoning can make perfect omelets without sticking. For best results, the maturation process in a wok to do with patience.
