I have a few weapons that have the matte black finish.?

I was told not to clean the outside of these weapons cleaning any oil that is going to make Shinny finish and clever. He wonders if this is so and if how to clean and what to use. Thanks

If your weapons have a matte black finish its most Parkerizing likely be …… Parkerizing finishes are highly resistant to abuse and Arent bothered by oils ….. I do not clean finish to end my Parkerizing shotguns or rifles AR ….. Parkerizing is a Heavy Duty military type finish so its not worth it ………. Firearms blue I keep a light coat and I mean a light coat of oil on them — Arent blue finish as strong as the finished Parkerizing so some oil is good … I have seen many blue arms with a layer of oxide that makes me this way, the opinion …… Of course, keeping internal components oiled well ….. Oil and Hoppes gun has served me well for decades to thats what I use …..
