If you've never heard of MilSim, is simply an abbreviation of the military simulation. In paintball and airsoft, a popular method of play is MilSim. On a higher level important, the military often trains by conducting military simulations, often incorporating airsoft guns in their activities. While MilSim sometimes played a Scenario Paintball, which is more popular in airsoft, because of the realism of airsoft guns.

MilSim often involves the recreation of individual battles or wars the past. For example, many popular games MilSim recreating World War II, Vietnam, and even the Iraq war battles. To increase the realism of the simulations, players are encouraged to use the equipment and the use of models soft air pistol at the time. Some players even go so far as to use magazines that hold the realistic capabilities of ammunition. Depending on where it carries out the simulation, a game can last from hours to several days. And games usually take place in a designated airsoft field and have considerable planning put into them, while the shorter games can be relatively impulsive and spontaneous.

Due to the fact that MilSim is so popular, Many airsoft guns are made as replicas of real weapons. Airsoft companies know that players like to participate in airsoft games MilSim and weapons have been manufactured to meet that need. Some popular models used in games MilSim include M16, AK-47 and Steyr AUGs.

A similar type of game is the simulation MilSim application of the law. In this type of game, airsoft quarter melee weapons are used in more than in MilSim, and the train of clothing and also use different tactics. While players could use MilSim actual airsoft grenades, players of enforcement may encourage more smoke grenades. Despite the differences can seem subtle, in practice the game is very different.

In short, the fundamental characteristics of MilSim include the use of replica airsoft guns, clothing and equipment specified time tactical game times longer than normal, and advanced preparation. In addition, a team may assume the role of "good" while the other team would play as the bad guys (in the regular airsoft games, there is usually no description of the equipment).

Anyone in the area of this target (even if they’re not the one shooting) should wear safety glasses and be aware that pellets may bounce back at them. Remove all animals/pets from the entire shooting area! Remember to wear safety glasses and hearing protection. Ricochet’s are possible, even with lead pellets. Do not use BBs or lead-free pellets, as they increase the chances of ricochets from any part of the frame or the white balls. Shoot the flange on the side and a ball drops to the next level.
