Never seems to fail, when I have a bad day, I have all day. Murphy's Law: "If you can go wrong will go wrong" works well in my house. More often than I like to think. One example was a few weeks ago.
Our coffee keeps overflowing. It was a known brand purchased new in our local store. When it began to overflow, locked him in the box, took him to the store and got a replacement. I thought I had just bought a defective. I had no idea the whole darn lot of coffee makers were garbage. The second was worse than the first. You turn it on or set the timer, sit and wait for that first cup only to find that ever was in the jar. Instead, he passed over, under cabinets, on the floor and the whole place. Not only do I have a mess to clean up, I had no coffee. I was going to be late to work cleaning up the mess. My day was shot before I had even at the door. I was too fast, risking a ticket. My boss was upset I was late. I missed one of those endless staff meetings. At 10 still had no coffee. The phone rang off the hook. Nobody was happy with anything, and my patience is running low. Murphy's Law has worked well that day.
My husband was convinced he was doing something wrong making coffee, so it was decided to make the next hand. I guess I was doing something wrong too, because the damned thing made another mess. He said: "Well tomorrow we want a refund." The next morning awoke to a cup of coffee beside his bed. "What happened, "wanted to know.
"I look." Proudly proclaimed. He went into the kitchen to look. Sure enough there was no mess the floor or in cabinets. I had put the device without value in the sink. The overflow went down the drain. At least we can say that each has a cup of coffee out of the thing. We bought another brand. If you want to help us pay for this new most expensive piece of machinery, buy some of our great bike shop. www.agelessparlor.com We have a little something for every motorcycle or off road rider.
Life happens all the time in our house. My daughter and I were sharing a car. She was driving to school one morning and went with her to use the car. We were talking and in a hurry. The two got into the car, fastened our seat belts. She put up, threw it in reverse and the right supported by the garage doors. The good news is the foundation of the house was still intact. At least that's what I told my husband when I called. The bad news is the doors are a bust and the car is slightly damaged was the message he received. He called the company insurance. I have to give praise here. They came through. For my home-deductible, $ 500, I have new garage doors, the car repaired, a long lecture on safe driving and a fare increase. When you least suspect, life is going to happen.
To minimize the damage of an Unexpected Life can happen do while on his motorcycle trying to think ahead and be as prepared as possible.
Keep your bicycle in good working order condition. Do not ignore the small or large repairs to do. My husband likes to say that is cheap and can be. He likes to spend enough to get something fixed. I, on the other hand, if you want to spend enough so that the problem does not recur. He will wait until the last minute to buy the car windshield wipers. Me again crazy. I can buy the windshield of my car every time the rain starts smudging the windows instead of cleaning. I do not like the limited view. I can check my tires on the bike and the car regularly and get them replaced, when the treads start to go. He waits until he begins to have floors. I filled my gas every time it is less half of the course. Drive until you turn on the light or shaking the meter is empty. Needless to say, do not spend more than the vehicles they drive. Has made any difference? No. He still manages, as well as I do and have more money in your pocket. Why continue with this expense and anticipating things go wrong when He has shown me time and again his plan works just as well. His plan is, "If it is not broke do not fix it." I thought a lot about this and think it's because not I can fix it, so I want to prevent decay. He has skills and knowledge and mechanic can fix it. This confidence leads him through. If you are like me and not a walking talking book of knowledge on how to fix a broken bike, then keep it in good shape. You will be safer on the road. Life will not pass near frequency.
Wear protective gear. You really do not want a life without a helmet case point on, do you? A spill with a blow to the head and the brain stops working all together or put you in a vegetative state. The only way I want to be in a vegetative state is when I trip down the Mississippi Delta and I'm reading the signs in the fields of what the company these vegetables are grown, then I know I am in a state known for its vegetables. In our new town site www.helmetsforfun.com you will find a large selection of DOT helmets at prices that can pay. Protect your head.
Lighten your load. Yesterday I saw an unusual site on a motorcycle, even to the south, where there are thousands of bicycles in the road at any given time and you may see anything at any time. It was a pretty cool day for southern living with a high of about 40 degrees. A corridor had a 5 or 6 wrapped in a fur coat and a riding helmet behind him. The girl was fast asleep and leaning way to the side of the bike. I hope the driver's excuse was this is the only transportation I had, and he took her to the emergency room because I can not think of a reasonable excuse for child to be there and be carried around that way. It also reminded me of driving heavy lid.
