Change your Golf Grips for Better Golf

Putting new grips on golf club can be a cheap and effective solution to quickly give greater coherence on your game.

Most amateur golfers never change the grips of his clubs. They play for years with a set of clubs without changing their fists!

Whereas, some professionals have been known to re-grip your clubs after each round of competition. They do for their clubs feel exactly the same. Most likely is that it does not need to grasp that often but in competitions run today there is much money at stake do not want to leave anything to chance.

What often should you re-grip your club?

A good general rule is:

if you play once a week, then you must change the grips of your clubs once a year. Play twice a week, change twice a year, etc.

Of course, if you do a lot of recommendations practice on the range you should consider changing your grips with greater frequency. From here you can hit 30 shots with his driver in an interval period. In a golf game may not use the driver in more than 10 times. So a range session a week hitting 30 units, equivalent to 3 rounds a week, which means to seize back 3 times a year.

You also find that you have clubs that are used much more frequently than others, especially if you only play during the home of most of the time. This is because you play the course in a certain way – the same club same shots, mostly governed by the duration of the course. So after a few months, squeezes in some clubs become more used than others.

What happens when using a grip?

Grips are fundamentally just pieces of rubber so that we can keep the golf club securely. The jaws have different types of textured surface to provide extra grip and safety touch. As a grip is used over and above the surface begins to wear rubber. Natural oils in our hands also start to affect the grips. You will notice as they begin to look brighter.

If you look at old used set of golf clubs that have never been re-prey see that the handles are often very bright.

Shiny grips are a problem. You have to hold the club more difficult when the grip is bright for does not slip and turn in your hands as you take a swing. You may not even be aware they are doing! The problem with the grip of the club is very difficult to affect negatively to the way the ball is hit. His hands are not just relaxed, and therefore, because the muscles in your hands and forearms are tense, that will slow down. In the golf swing, relaxed hands are the hands quickly. You need fast hands to get good distance.

It is worth checking your golf clubs at least once a month. Compare grabs all. If anyone is starting to wear, consider getting renewed.

New grips feel good. You can almost feel "sticky" compared with fists old and worn. This can give you real sense of confidence.

Benjamin & Sheridan Repair Kit, Fits Some Pre-1995 Multi-Pump Guns w/Soldered Valve $33.54 Repair kit fits these multi-pump guns made before 1995 (they have a soldered valve): Benjamin 397, 392, 340, 342 & 347 guns as well as Sheridan C9 (Silver Streak) & CB9 (Blue Streak). To determine if this kit is for you: Remove the screw in front of triggerguard to remove rear part of the stock Remove the pins or screws that hold the retention cap at the rear of the receiver Remove the guide pin, spring & hammer to reveal the compression tube If the compression tube appears to be brass & is one piece with a pin protruding from it, you’ll need the other kit (CR/RepairKitC9) instead of this one If your gun has a rounded square hole with a valve stem sticking up through it, then the kit shown on this page will fit your gun. The included valve tool (pictured on this page) is needed to remove the parts from the soldered valve body (directions included with kit). If your gun is very old and has been treated with any petroleum distillates and/or solvents that damage rubber seals, the removal of the old parts can be challenging. The obsolete gasket that seals the valve guide to the compression tube can normally be reused. If you used petroleum products, it may be irreparably damaged and will need to be replaced by a thin o-ring.
