Drivetrain interconnection elements and the axis of rotation, and advanced internal combustion engines, hybrids and Stirling engines and their applications

A Greek laboratory, highly specialized in Mechanical pure systems, has developed an innovative mechanism of transmission with many important applications and is seeking a license agreement and / or technical cooperation agreement and / or partners involved in the production of machinery and / or its applications.

This transmission mechanism (DOT: Transmission distribution oscillating) interconnections, as more effective, a plurality of elements with a principal axis, said elements and the coaxial axis of rotation around a common axis with different angular velocities, but fully programmable.

This interconnection is done through systems with some non-circular planetary gears which have almost the same mechanical performance as the standard.

The transmission mechanism mentioned above can perform literally any desired cycle, thermodynamics or not, even one with an odd number of strokes asymmetric, with the highest possible degree of mechanical efficiency in both directions.

One of the main applications of this transmission mechanism is an advanced internal combustion engine (EL: Toroidal hermetic motor) with three Pistons toroidal rotation, making in the simplest possible way, nearly ideal thermodynamic cycle:

- Consumption (clean air, fuel mixture or mixed with gas escape, if necessary)

– Compression (up to any desired compression ratio),

– Combustion (isochoric, for any desired period, almost exactly or exactly, if necessary)

– Extension (for any period desired, with volume, continuously, to any desired multiple of Volume Consumption)

– The exhaust system (down to any desired volume, volume even zero, if necessary)

– MetaStathmeusis (with or without cooling / cleaning procedure, for any period desired, or even the period zero if necessary).

From another point of view, this internal combustion engine could be the main platform and more adaptable to a hybrid compact.

Other applications include hydraulic pumps or motors, vacuum pumps or motors, machines refrigeration, Stirling engines and electric generators or motors.

 

Main Innovative aspects concerning the mechanism and its applications are:

– The innovative mechanism of transmission interconnection from any kinematic desired cycle,

– Innovative Internal Combustion Engine to make a nearly ideal thermodynamic cycle,

– Innovative high performance Stirling engine heat.

After a specific strategy for research, more than twenty important parameters (some of them with a series of discrete values more two) have been investigated, so more than two million discrete structural combinations have been tested almost one by one.

Among these are structural combinations peripheral slot configurations without or with shorter cantilever, or even zero of all the Pistons, or a proportion total workload of the toroidal volume much larger than the one in this proposal.

Although the configuration of this proposal has worked very well in all tests Virtual mentioned above, other configurations are probably much more promising from the practical point of view and thorough investigation the commercial potential of these could be the subject of another project.

There are already two international patent applications (WO/2007/125373 & WO/2009/040588) with excellent search and patents pending.
