Compaq Evo 600, problem.?

I was asked to replace a keyboard and upgrade memory in an Evo 660c. To make things short to do this, I dropped the housing, removed the HD, memory, loosened the LCD. After replacing the keyboard, I carefully put things together. He threw it in the lights flashing battery with a Thats it! The HD does not start and no illumination of the screen.
