The Battle Of Evermore by Led Zeppelin. Underrated?
How come all the good Zeppelin songs, I hear enough (or any praise for The Battle Of Evermore? Do people care not ask what the song is about? (That could be about (LOTR).) Or people do not like the sound (no drums or heavy distortion)? Or is overshadowed by Stairway to Heaven (enough not comparable)? Or is it simply not a good song (no sway enough)? Just wondering. Personally I think the song is incredible.
Lots of great songs that are mostly unappreciated because of what the songs were released as singles and what is played on the radio, I think. The Battle Of Evermore song is a very respected by many Zep fans I'm sure, just do not hear much. I do not think that the meaning of the songs is much more of a mystery. It seems quite evident in the letters and is written in a typically mystical Zep many other topics. As she once said: Jimmy Page "We were a band that wrote songs about nothing" mystical reschedule typical guitar God! Really do not think you can call the song underestimated, since it appears in one of the biggest selling and most celebrated albums in history. Underestimated by radio, but of course!
