What are the best ski slopes on the east coast?

I love skiing. My only problem is that I live in SC. I intend to take a few trips this winter, and I was the only outstanding are Wolf Ridge, NC (my aunt has a cabin there) and Winterplace in WV. Wolf Ridge is definitely not the best, and Winterplace is the way in crowded conditions. Anyone have other recommendations for good skiing on the east coast points? Thank you!

It is necessary to head north – there are few places in the Poconos in PA (Blue, Camelback) and the Catskills in New York (Windham is probably the best) – but all of them are mediocre – Just not as great – if you come from as far as SC I suggest you go all the way up in Vermont – Killington, Jay Peak, in northern VT – Mt Snow and Stratton in southern Vermont.
