Why use a cap or hat to the left or right?

My question is really whether there is any significance to what I would use the hat slighty to either slightly left instead of right or vice versa, or is just a style thing? Because most people see (that do this) wear his cap tilted to the right, this is just coincidence?

Maybe I do not want Sun cheeks burned instead of a sun burnt nose. I think is just a style that people have created over time .. I guess his hat and looks more casual alternative. their teens usually do this, and in elementary school we are taught to use the hat forward. I guess the hat to one side is just another way to rebel against society.
