The American Paint Horse is a breed of horse that combines the features of a horse Western population with a pinto spotting pattern of white coat colors and black. Now is one of the fastest growing races in the United States. The horse painting is a descendant of Spanish horses that were exported to America in the 16th century and became part of the herds of wild horses that roamed the deserts West and plains.

They are found worldwide and are distinguished by their colors, including spots, stripes, barred legs or touches of color on a background dark or light, similar to the camouflage used by the soldiers. Their marks can be any size or shape and is virtually anywhere in your body. There are three specific coat patterns associated with them:

Over-The white usually does not cross the back of the horse, at least one and often all four legs are dark, white is irregular, and is rather scattered or splashy, distinguishing marks are the head, often white-headed front apron or hat. May be primarily dark or white.

The dark-colored Tobiano generally covers one or both sides, usually four legs are white, at least below the knees, the spots are regular and distinct as ovals or round patterns that extend down the neck and chest, head markings are like a solid colored horse-solid or a fire, strip, star or cut. They may be mostly dark or white.

Tovero "It's not dark pigmentation around the ears, which can be extended to cover the front and / or eyes, one or both eyes are blue, no dark pigmentation around the mouth which can be extended by the side of the face, chest spots vary in size and can reach the neck edge spots vary in size and are often accompanied by small spots, there are patches of different sizes at the base of the tail.

The horse of painting was appreciated by the cowboys to work with buffaloes and cattle. Native Americans revered because they believed it had magical powers. Both cowboys and American Indians add color and decoration to themselves and their horses to stand out and be different from others. This horse is loved by many and is a reliable worker, hard it is known for its easy and convenient steps that could be kept at very large distances, this was, of course, very important for people in the Old West who rode them.

Over the years, the athletic ability of these animals has improved breeding conditions. Coat patterns and unusual color remain the same and are intelligent and beautiful animals to ride. They are excellent for the afternoon walk, work on a ranch, a rodeo, riding a track, or simply as a kid-friendly horse to love and enjoy.
