Blue Marlin Fishing – The fight of a lifetime

Marlin are popular saltwater big fish weighing 100-500 pounds with bodies that can reach 10-13 feet long. They are found in all major oceans, the Pacific, Indian and Atlantic Oceans. Blue marlin are known fighters and therefore a favorite for deep sea sports fishing. To capture them, know their habits and character.

Also called blue-water fish, the needle spends most of its lives at sea due to warm ocean currents for thousands of miles. Blue marlin are the most tropical needle out there. Cobalt Blue in top and silvery white on the bottom, have an upper jaw released as lethal.

Preferring deep water surface, which is one of the fish ocean faster, recording up to 56 miles per hour. Be more rare all the time, are not yet considered an endangered species. His flesh is a delight, especially in Japan, and are something of a Holy Grail for anglers. However, most anglers catch and release in those days.

Although believed to live as long as 15 years, is hardly more than 10. And the trophy fish are always females, males rarely exceed 300 kilos.

Another way to catch blue marlin is based on their hunting behavior. Marlin tend to follow schools of fish, where they are most vulnerable to trolling.
