What is Nu Metal?

A branch of the tree heavy metal music is known as Nu Metal. This genre of metal has managed to combine other features and styles of music on his own like Hip hop, punk and grunge. Nu metal bands commonly used melodic singing, voice and aggressive forms of hardcore punk.

The term "nu metal", meaning "new metal" was presented in an article in Spin magazine. As time passed and the genre expanded the "new metal" term was changed to "nu metal". Was presented at the end of the film "Get Thrashed". This kind of metal was presented by Korn in 1990 and has grown through the 90s in 2000.

Nu Metal popularity grew as "Follow the Leader" release Korn's third album came out and sold 9 million copies worldwide. Many Metal Music Bands began to grow and be noticed. After the doors opened to the community of nu metal, nu metal bands came out to the public.

Once the nu metal of the community grew, nu metal bands followed. Staind, Limp Bizkit, Coal Chamber and began to achieve success in the community of nu metal after the release of Korn "Follow The album "Leader. The onset of nu metal bands came from the scene of Los Angeles, as Static-X, Spineshank and Coal Chamber. The popularity of nu metal in the community rise, bands like Limp Bizkit, Disturbed, Soufly, Slipknot, Godsmack Sevendust and began to become more and more success. Tours, as Ozzfest, Family Values Tour and Lollapalooza began with the nu metal bands on their roster. The major route that nu metal bands of note was the 30th anniversary of Woodstock that was mostly bands nu metal in the lineup.

The number of bands increased with time in the nu metal genre. Nu metal bands started releasing albums that earned him the status Platinum, like Linkin Park, Papa Roach, POD and System of a Down. The community of nu metal was at its peak in 2001 when the metal is nu metal music popular in the USA. Signature log table is most nu metal bands who approached them. With this explosion of new bands, which ended with the poor quality of the music nu metal.

In the early 2000s the popularity of nu metal bands calmed down and started the wave that was not selling their new discs, and its the above. Nu metal fell from being in the top and metal fans moved into a emo pop punk and metal. Most nu metal bands continue to play a similar style music and stay in the genre, others have advanced.
